Reinhold Wilhelm von Pohlmann's gun with coat of arms
Description
The handle of a gun owned by Jägermeister and Lieutenant General Reinhold Wilhelm von Pohlmann (Romanovich von Polman). Depicts a man standing next to the family coat of arms.
18th century (presumably the 1750s to 1790s) in Revel, Estonia.
The gun displays an interesting (incorrect?) version of the family coat of arms, firstly with a shield holder and secondly, a purple field on the shield rather than gold as is traditionally seen.
