A Look at Our First Acquisition

We are proud to announce our first-ever physical acquisition, a collection of 18th and 17th-century manuscripts related to the Pohlmann family from Hille, where the family originated. This collection is not just an addition to our archives, but a tangible link to the very roots of the family tree.

An example of the original Polman family coat of arms taken from the portrait of Captain Jörgen Pålman in 1623 located at Skoklosters slott.

The family was said to have a coat of arms of an arm holding a ring. Later, the coat of arms changed to an arm holding a bullet or cannonball.

This is the only existing example of the original arms with a ring.
